Floor & Decor enters Nebraska

Floor & Decor will open its latest location in Omaha, Neb. 

The move marks the specialty flooring retailer’s entry into the state.

Opening on Oct. 17, the Floor & Decor warehouse store and design center will open with a team of about 50 full-time and part-time associates led by Steve Hatch, the new store’s chief executive merchant.

As of June 30, Floor & Decor operated 174 warehouse-format stores and five design studios across 34 states. Since, the retailer has opened new locations in Florida, Kentucky, Minnesota, and North Carolina, in addition to the Omaha store.

Floor & Decor said it plans to open eight new locations in the third quarter and 32 new stores overall in 2022.

In August, the specialty retailer reported second quarter sales surged ahead 27% to $1.09 billion.

The Omaha Floor & Decor store will be giving away a $5,000 Floor Makeover as part of its grand opening festivities.  Following the grand opening, the Omaha Floor & Decor store will host a family-friendly “Super Saturday” event on Oct. 22, 2022, including outdoor interactive games such as “Connect FLOOR,” jumbo Jenga, and “Plinko.”

As with all new Floor & Decor locations, the company is welcoming builders, contractors, architects, designers, remodelers, flooring installers, and realtors to visit the new location.

Pros are also invited to attend a special Pro VIP Grand Opening event on Nov. 29.
