Worx ready to a cut into Las Vegas
The new 20V Worx circular saw with ExacTrack helps make cuts easier and precise.
At this year’s National Hardware Show, power tool and outdoor power equipment manufacturer Worx has something special planned.
In honor of its 13th year at the show, Worx will be showcasing 13 new products in Las Vegas.
Including a portable power cleaner and a mini-mower, Worx will be showing the new 20V 6-1/2 inch Circular Saw with ExacTrack.
Worx says what makes the saw with ExacTrack different is that it’s an integrated part of the saw’s shoe or base, making the guide easy to use and operate.
Homeowners who don’t own a circular saw will find this 20V circular saw extremely handy. To rip a sheet of plywood with ExacTrack, simply clamp 1x material to the desired width and mark the cut line. The 1x stock also functions like a fence on a table saw. Begin the cut with ExacTrack gliding right on top of the 1x stock for the duration of the cut. This makes long rip cuts easy for all skill levels. When not set for ripping, ExacTrack is returned to its standard position for cross-cuts and other cutting operations.

The lightweight, compact saw is powered by a 20V 2.0 Ah Power Shar Max lithium battery and 3600 rpm (no-load) motor. The saw’s maximum depth of cut is 2 inches and bevel capacity is up to 50 degrees. The saw is ideal for DIY projects and remodeling jobs.
The saw also features a rubber overmold comfort grip and a spindle lock for fast and convenient blade changes. As part of the Worx Power Share program the 20V 2.0 Ah battery is compatible with more than two dozen Worx DIY and lawn and garden tools.
In addition to the saw, the kit includes one, 20V 2.0 Ah battery, a three-to-five hour charger, and a 24-tooth, carbide-tipped saw blade, covered by the Worx three-year warranty.
Here’s the pitch to Home Depot
At the National Hardware Show, inventors will show their stuff.
The Home Depot will be receptive to new ideas, new products and new inventions during the upcoming National Hardware Show at the Inventor’s Spotlight pavilion.
The world’s largest home improvement retailer will host a product pitch panel at this year’s event, and there are some heavy hitters in the lineup. Scheduled to serve on the pitch panel are:
- Ted Decker, executive VP of merchandising;
- Jim Hovis, senior VP of global brand and product development;
- Jeanine Huebner, senior VP of hardlines; and
- Dave Fedewa, VP of product and development.
The above Home Depot merchants will take pitches from a variety of pre-registered inventors. The United Inventors Association describes the panel as a “unique opportunity to get before the biggest home improvement retailer in the industry.”

Located outside in the Tailgate, Backyard & BBQ section in the Silver Lot and sponsored by Adams USA, visitors can relax and unwind under the Las Vegas sun, while exploring new outdoor living products and accessories to expand their inventories and help their customers get the most from their own backyards.
5. Smart Home Virtual Reality Experience
The Smart Home Virtual Reality Experience is another new introduction at the 2018 show. Here, retailers can get an immersive look at the future of home automation and see the products, technology and whole-home integration solutions that customers will soon be asking for. Get a head start on your competition by taking a virtual tour of the home of the future and experiencing these products first hand.
6. Operation Tiny Home
Operation Tiny Home will reveal to show attendees a real-time look at what it takes to build a tiny home from scratch at the all-new Operation Tiny Home experience. The National Hardware Show has partnered with Operation Tiny Home to give attendees an exclusive look at the products, tools and techniques tiny home construction crews need to build fully functional and expertly designed small homes.
7. 2x4s for Hope
The new program 2x4s for Hope, held in conjunction with Operation Tiny Home, will be collecting donations to provide shelter to those in need. National Hardware Show attendees will have the chance to support this nonprofit organization by making a donation and then signing their names and a personal message on 2×4’s to be used in future construction projects.
8. Reimagine Retail
