Ten stops for Hardware Show Travelers

4/26/2018
With 2,800 companies, including 500 first-time exhibitors, the National Hardware Show lends itself to freelancing discovery.

And for those who like to plan their stops, here are 10:

1. New Product Launch

New Product Launch offers a convenient way to discover brand-new products that have yet to hit the market. These products have no pre-sales or exclusives, and represent a variety of unique product categories.

2. New Product World

In New Product World, attendees find the newest innovative products from all categories released in the past 12 months. Be sure to visit both areas to get a valuable glimpse today at the products customers will be asking for tomorrow.

3. Inventors Spotlight

With Inventors Spotlight, show attendees can get an inside look at groundbreaking new products that could revolutionize the home improvement industry. Inventors have the opportunity to meet directly with key industry figures, manufacturers and investors to get feedback on their products. Sponsored by the United Inventors Association (UIA), this area is a must-visit to learn about the next generation of hardware and home improvement projects.

4. Ultimate Backyard

The Ultimate Backyard features the latest in grilling, outdoor living and more. Located outside in the Tailgate, Backyard & BBQ section in the Silver Lot and sponsored by Adams USA, visitors can relax and unwind under the Las Vegas sun, while exploring new outdoor living products and accessories to expand their inventories and help their customers get the most from their own backyards.

5. Smart Home Virtual Reality Experience

The Smart Home Virtual Reality Experience is another new introduction at the 2018 show. Here, retailers can get an immersive look at the future of home automation and see the products, technology and whole-home integration solutions that customers will soon be asking for. Get a head start on your competition by taking a virtual tour of the home of the future and experiencing these products first hand.

6. Operation Tiny Home

Operation Tiny Home will reveal to show attendees a real-time look at what it takes to build a tiny home from scratch at the all-new Operation Tiny Home experience. The National Hardware Show has partnered with Operation Tiny Home to give attendees an exclusive look at the products, tools and techniques tiny home construction crews need to build fully functional and expertly designed small homes.

7. 2x4s for Hope

The new program 2x4s for Hope, held in conjunction with Operation Tiny Home, will be collecting donations to provide shelter to those in need. National Hardware Show attendees will have the chance to support this nonprofit organization by making a donation and then signing their names and a personal message on 2x4’s to be used in future construction projects.

8. Reimagine Retail

The crowning of the winner of the National Hardware Show Reimagine Retail program will award one lucky retailer $100,000 to fund a business improvement project at the retailer’s operation. Learn more about the winning idea and meet the next Reimagine Retail honoree.

9. Catch a keynote

Catch a keynote at the show stage. The stars of HGTV’s “Good Bones,” the co-founder of TreeHouse (described as the world’s first home upgrade company) and professional product curator and The Grommet inventor Jules Pieri are on tap to share their stories and ideas.

10. Made in USA Awards

Feel patriotic during The Made in the USA Awards presentation. Here, attendees can see which projects earn A Made in the USA Award. Winners are chosen by excellence in design, quality and innovation in the following categories: best packaging, on-site patriotic marketing and best new product.
