Pro Dealers of the Year: The PowerPoint

One of the highlight of the 2016 Pro Dealer Industry Summit was the annual Pro Dealer of the Year Awards dinner. The actual PowerPoint presentation was never fully deployed, for reasons that remain unclear. But here are the slides, with appropriate notes explaining the high points of each:

• The awards are sponsored again this year by Weyerhaeuser;

• T.H. Rogers of Oklahoma is Pro Dealer of the Year; and

• Healdsburg Lumber of Healdsburg, California, is Independent Pro Dealer of the Year.

• HBSDealer recognizes honorees based on high performance and commitment to the best practices and values of the LBM industry;

• Nominations for the awards are solicited from past winners, regional associations and other important stakeholders.

• T.H. Rogers Lumber was founded in 1901;

• A major emphasis on its people, and the company proudly points to its Employee Stock Ownership Plan; and

• That's McAlester-location manager Stacy Maw, and the recently remodeled home center facility.

• The company operates 34 stores in Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri;

• The business model is simple: small town lumberyard service combined with large regional buying power and resources.

• Healdsburg Lumber prides itself on exceptional community involvement in Sonoma County; and

• President Eric Ziedrich is a two-time mayor of Healdsburg, and currently serves on the city council.
