Walters returns to Do it Best

Sales and business development exec to lead southern managers.

Do it Best has announced the addition of Kyle Walters as its newest regional sales and business development manager, effective immediately. The move marks a return to the co-op for Walters, who was a Do it Best territory manager in the early 1990s.

Walters will lead a team of territory managers across a region of the southern U.S. covering seven states. Together, Walters and his team will focus on helping existing Do it Best member-owners grow store sales and profitability, as well as recruit new members to the co-op.

“It’s an honor to be joining the outstanding team at Do it Best once again,” Walters said. “This region offers a strong base of members looking to grow – as well as other outstanding retailers who can benefit from the programs, products and excellent service only Do it Best can provide. I’m excited to help even more independent retailers see Do it Best as their first and best choice when it comes to growing their businesses.”

Walters brings nearly 30 years of industry experience to his new role, including a previous stint as a territory manager with Do it Best from 1991-1996. He also served as president of Elliott’s Hardware, a five-location chain in the Dallas area, for 15 years. Walters was most recently VP of sales for Winzer Corp., a distributor of industrial and automotive repair products and support services.
