Executive moves for Do it Best LBM team

7/2/2019
Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Do it Best Corp. has named four senior leaders to new roles on the Lumber and Building Materials team. These leadership alignments better position the division for continued growth and provide an even higher level of service to their co-op members, the company said.

Todd Hixson will serve as the company’s LBM Business Development Manager, a new leadership position. Hixson, who previously served as the Division Manager for Lumber and Panels, steps into a new role in the company. As the LBM Business Development Manager, he will be in the field, growing existing member relationships as well as developing exceptional new ones.

Other moves:

• Josh Ratcliff will move into the role of Division Manager for Lumber and Reload Operations,

• Joe Corah will serve as the newly created Division Manager for Panels, Distribution and Specialty Products; and

• Jean Fahy will take over as the Division Manager of Building Materials.

“With these enhancements to our LBM leadership team, our company is better positioned to capitalize on significant growth opportunities while maintaining the most efficient operations in our industry,” added Nackers.

As Division Manager of Lumber and Reload Operations, Ratcliff will leverage his previous experience as the Lumber Sales and Operations Manager to head up the purchasing and sales of all dimension lumber products. This includes managing the back-to-back business as well as overseeing the company’s extensive reload network.

Formerly the Division Manager of Building Materials Purchasing, Corah will transition to the Division Manager of Panels, Distribution and Specialty Products. With his extensive experience in lumber, he will lead the team that purchases and sells panels, treated lumber, and engineered wood products and will be responsible for all distribution partner programs. Corah and his team will continue the aggressive growth in panels while enhancing treated lumber and engineered wood sales.

Fahy, former Division Manager of Building Materials Sales, will move into the role of Division Manager of Building Materials. She has spent the last three years leading the company’s sales efforts for building materials. With this change, she will now oversee purchasing and vendor programs for these categories as well as sales.

"The growth we're experiencing is exciting," said Gary Nackers, VP of Lumber and Building Materials. "We are constantly optimizing our systems to help our members grow and achieve their dreams.”

Mike Ter Molen continues in his post as director of LBM Operations.
