Curtis Lumber is revving up for the grand opening of its latest location in East Greenbush, N.Y.

The Ballston Spa, N.Y.-based dealer broke ground on the new store roughly a year ago.

The new store measures more than 25,500 square feet and sits on 12 acres. The store is also about 7,500 square feet larger than the previous East Greenbush store. A grand opening celebration is set for June 25.

The prior store will be repurposed to a warehouse to support the new larger location, Curtis Lumber said.

Curtis Lumber Marketing Director Jim Carpenter told HBSDealer that this store was required due to strong sales and the need for more room to grow.

The dealer also said that the new store is expected to help increase sales because its location has better visibility to traffic on Route 20.

‘The building includes larger showrooms for kitchen, window, and lighting sections, providing contractors and homeowners with more room to shop.

Additionally, the location features a pick-up warehouse with racking to add more storage for orders and durable goods.

Curtis Lumber serves Central, Eastern, and Northern N.Y. and Vermont. By upgrading this location, it brings the number of Curtis Lumber Co. locations to 23.
