Costello’s Ace Hardware acquired Rankin’s Hardware, a three-location True Value Hardware chain in northern Virginia. Costello’s Ace now owns 41 locations throughout New York, New Jersey, Maryland and now Virginia.

The three neighborhood hardware stores in Warrenton, Colonial Beach, and King George, Va. will be getting a makeover. The store conversions will take place over the summer after an inventory liquidation period. Until then they will operate as Rankin’s Ace Hardware. Once the store renovations are completed, all three locations will be rebranded as Costello’s Ace Hardware.

“We are excited to continue our expansion into Virginia”, said Michael Costello, CEO at Costello’s Ace Hardware. “Our founder, Vincent Costello, was passionate about serving others, solving problems, and bringing folks together in the community. He’d be so proud to continue the tradition set forth by the Rankin family. We are delighted their family is now part of our family in our quest to deliver service convenience and quality to our neighbors.”

The stores are located at at 251 W Lee Highway in Warrenton; 535 Euclid Avenue in Colonial Beach, and 11475 Ridge Road in King George.
