Cameron Ashley expands in Louisiana
Cameron Ashley Building Products, Inc. has acquired Martin Distributors, an Alexandria, La.-based distributor of building products including commodity and treated lumber, engineered wood, roofing, gypsum and insulation.
Martin Distributors operates out of two locations in Alexandria and Lafayette, La., and serves over 200 customers throughout the state.
This move follows the acquisition of J&R Products earlier this year and continues the strategic growth initiatives implemented under Pacific Avenue’s ownership.
Cameron Ashley, based in Greer, S.C., has now completed three add-on acquisitions under Pacific Avenue’s ownership while growing its network to over 5,000 customers serviced from 42 strategically located stocking distribution centers with a total storage footprint of over 4.2 million square feet. The warehouse footprint is supported by a fleet of over 125 tractors and 200 trailers that make in excess of 240,000 deliveries every year, Cameron Ashley said.

Martin Distributors will be rebranded and operate as Cameron Ashley Building Products, effective immediately.
The retail locations of Martin Building Materials in Pineville and Howard Lumber & Supply in Minden, La. were not part of the acquisition and will continue to operate under separate ownership from the Cameron Ashley Louisiana locations.
