Cameron Ashley expands in Fort Wayne
Cameron Ashley Building Products has expanded with the opening of a new distribution center in Fort Wayne, Ind.
The combination warehouse and office space, neighboring the existing J&R Products headquarters, officially opened on Sept. 1. The new location will serve customers in the Fort Wayne area and its neighboring markets for both deliveries and pick up services.
Cameron Ashley acquired J&R Products in January.
A new warehouse and outside storage area will provide additional inventory and sales support for customers with a focus on roofing, insulation, and drywall products. Key suppliers with products in stock include Knauf Insulation, CertainTeed, IKO, TAMKO, Continental Building Products (now part of CertainTeed), and United States Gypsum.

Based in Greer, S.C., Cameron Ashley operates a network of more than 40 stocking distribution centers with a total storage footprint of over 4.2 million square feet in 20 states.
The company serves about 5,000 customers in the lumber and building materials industry with 26 of its distribution centers strategically located within 150 miles of the 25 largest MSAs in the country.
