Building products distributor BlueLinx announced that it has promoted Cory Dukehart to general manager of the company’s Frederick, Md. and Denville, N.J. branches.

Dukehart takes over after the previous general manager, George Zarick was promoted to regional vice president of Bluelinx’s East Region.

The new general manager started his career in distribution in 1999 at American Forest Products.  He spent 16 years with American Forest Products in multiple roles including logistics, inventory procurement, and sales.

In 2015 the business closed, and he started his journey with BlueLinx Corporation as an inside sales representative.  From there he transitioned into an industrial and manufactured housing territory manager, and then most recently to an outside product manager responsible for millwork and engineered wood products.

“We are excited to announce the promotion of Cory to General Manager, says George Zarick, regional vice president of BlueLinx. “I am looking forward to the growth that he makes for the company through his ingenuity and leadership.  His loyalty and passion for the business will make him an effective leader and will continue to carry on the culture we have built in Frederick and Denville.”

Based in Atlanta, BlueLinx distributes a comprehensive range of structural and specialty products to over 15,000 national, regional, and local dealers, as well as specialty distributors, national home centers, industrial, and manufactured housing customers.
