BlueLinx names new general manager
BlueLinx Holdings, the distributor of building and industrial products, has named John Spencer as the company’s new general manager for branches in Monroe, La. and Gulfport, Miss.
Spencer began his career in sales with Georgia-Pacific in Dallas, Texas in 1984. Since then, he has served in numerous sales and management roles for dealers, national accounts, and industrial sales.
In addition to the wholesale business, the general manager has served as an executive and manager with several major retail operations in the central and southern United States. Most recently, he has been employed as a district manager at a national wholesale distributor of building products.

Based in Marietta, Ga., BlueLinx distributes a comprehensive range of products to more than 15,000 national, regional, and local dealers, specialty distributors, national home centers, and manufactured housing customers.
