Atomic Compact Series 20V MAX Bandsaw from DeWalt

The lightweight tool is ideal for one-handed cuts, including electrical, plumbing, and metalworking applications.

DeWalt has announced the new Atomic Compact Series 20V MAX Brushless Cordless 1-3/4-inch Bandsaw, made for fast, one-handed cutting.

The bandsaw is the latest to join the more than 200 products in the 20V MAX System as part of the Atomic Compact Series line of tools, which combine performance and durability in a compact format.

The Atomic Compact Series 20V MAX* Bandsaw’s 1-3/4-inch cut capacity allows cutting of the most common small-sized metal diameters found on the job site, making it ideal for electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other metalworking applications. It is lightweight at just 6.6 lbs. (bare tool) and features an integrated guard for one-handed, overhead cutting applications. With an SFPM from 150 to 380, the bandsaw features a variable speed trigger and speed dial for control when cutting materials including stainless steel, strut or all thread.

In addition, the bandsaw is designed with an integrated hang hook allowing users to hang the tool between cuts, and has an LED light to help illuminate the cutting area. This tool has a bracket for mounting a Lanyard Ready attachment (sold separately), making it easy to securely anchor to scaffolding during at-height jobs, and is compatible with the DEWALT Tool Connect Chip (sold separately) for convenient management and tracking of the tool.

The tool is expected to roll out in February 2021, DeWalt said.
