Weyerhaeuser reshuffles its leadership team
Forest products giant Weyerhaeuser says it will reorder its leadership team this summer.
Current SVP, general counsel Sandy McDade is retiring in July. Succeeding her will be Devin Stockfish, who will also maintain his current role as corporate secretary. Stockfish has been serving as corporate secretary and assistant general counsel since last June. Before joining the company, he was VP & associate general counsel at Univar Inc.
Also retiring is Sara Kendall, VP corporate affairs and sustainability, on May 2.
Kristen Sawin has been named VP government relations, environment, health and safety, and she will report to Stockfish. She has been serving as director of public policy and environment since last December. Prior to that, she was the director of regional, federal & international affairs. She has been with the company since 2005.
Additionally, SVP human resources Denise Merle’s role will expand to SVP human resources and investor relations after Kathy McAuley, current VP investor relations, retires in August. Merle was director of finance and human resources for the Lumber business since 2013, and before that, she was director of compliance & enterprise planning and director of internal audit. She has been with the company since 1981.
Beth Baum will take over the role of director of investor relations, effective immediately, and Patty Bedient, EVP and CFO, continues to have overall accountability for investor relations. Baum has been Weyerhaeuser’s manager of financial planning since 2010, and has been with the company since 2006. She is also a commissioner and chair of the audit committee for the Washington State Housing Finance Commission.

Satco is recalling its KolourOne LED Light Bulbs
Citing a tendency for the metal housing and lens to separate from the bulb’s base and fall, Satco Products is recalling several thousand of its KolourOne LED Light Bulbs.
The recall affects about 119,000 units in the U.S. and 2,350 in Canada of the KolourOne Brand Panel Array 2.0 and DUO 2.0 PAR 30 and 38 LED Light Bulbs.
Four reports have been received of the bulb components separating and falling, but no injuries have yet been reported.
The 13-, 14- and 17-watt white bulbs come in both longneck and shortneck models and have the KolourOne logo printed on the neck of the bulb. Consumers are advised to check for a product number beginning with S89XX or S90XX printed below the logo. Lot numbers are also printed on the outer rim of the optical lens; those with the letter "A" in the last character position are not being recalled.
The faulty bulbs were sold at electrical supply stores, lighting showrooms, hardware and specialty stores across the U.S. — as well as online at Amazon.com — between December 2012 and February 2014 for $35-$45.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission is urging consumers to immediately discontinue use, remove the recalled bulbs and contact Satco for a free replacement.
BrassCraft has a new B2B ad campaign
BrassCraft Manufacturing is promoting its "better. together." campaign with three new B2B advertisements that highlight the relationship between plumbing professionals and BrassCraft products.
"Getting the job done – and done well – is what the plumber does," said VP marketing & product development Jeffrey Jollay. "Plumbers know quality and rely on BrassCraft Manufacturing for a wide spectrum of products to help make sure that the job is done right every time."
BrassCraft has been pushing the "better. together." message since last spring using banners, counter mats, t-shirts and a visual display header for BrassCraft water connector merchandising racks.
Adding to the overall effort will be new print advertisements in major plumbing industry publications starting this May. The campaign’s central focus will be to encourage the use of an entire suite of BrassCraft products over a set mixed with other competing products.
