Weyerhaeuser has a new VP Southern Timberlands

Weyerhaeuser has named John Enlow VP Southern Timberlands, effective Feb. 24.

Enlow is joining the company from Rayonier. In his most recent role, he served as director of the Atlantic and Northern Timberlands regions.

"John has a real passion for achieving excellence and a proven track record in developing people," says Hunter. "He shares our company values and brings broad experience to this role, including forestry, business development, procurement, finance and sales. John will be an outstanding addition to our team and I look forward to the contributions he’ll make on our journey to become truly great."

Enlow’s appointment fills a vacancy the company had open since Rhonda Hunter was promoted to SVP Timberlands last December.

NBMDA recognizes longtime members

Building products distributor Lumbermen’s of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Lensing Building Specialties of Evansville, Ind., were among a group of distributors recognized for multiple decades of membership with the North American Building Material Distribution Association. 

"We are honored to have such a dedicated membership base," said NBMDA executive VP Kevin Gammonley. "It is the dedication of our members that allows NBMDA to continue to provide valuable networking and the ideal environment for fostering business connections." 

The group recognized the following distributors:

For 60 years of membership: Lensing Building Specialties, Evansville, Ind.; and Wimsatt Building Materials Corp., Wayne, Mich.

For 50 years of membership: Aetna Plywood, Maywood, Ill.; and Diamond Hill Plywood Co., Darlington, S.C.

For 30 years of membership: Lumbermen’s, Grand Rapids, Mich.

For 25 years of membership: Darant Distributing Corp., Denver, Colo.; and White-Wood Dist., Winnepeg, Canada

USP Structural Connectors has announced a new line of five high-performance epoxy anchoring solutions, applicable to heavy-industrial seismic and wind projects as well as everyday household needs.

The line includes CIA-GEL 7000-C, designed for tension and shear loads due to wind or earthquake. It can attach anchor bolts to concrete that is (or may become) cracked.

CIA-GEL 7000 Masonry-Approved Epoxy can attach anchor bolts into fully grouted conrete masonry units. It can stand up to seismic, sustained load, elevated temperature and freeze-thaw conditions.

CIA-GEL 6000-GP General Purpose Quick Cure Epoxy is the collection’s general-purpose solution, designed for applications that require quick load times and for doweling applications that require state DOT approval. It has a working time of 20 minutes at

CIA-EA Epoxy Acrylate Structural Adhesive features a high-strength, fast-cure formula designed to anchor threaded rod and deformed rebar into uncracked concrete.

Last but not least, Miracle Bond can be used as a bonding agent for nearly all household materials, including wood, steel, concrete, brick, stone and CMU block.
