Bosch promotes portability in new saw
Mount Prospect, Ill.-based Bosch Power Tools launched the Bosch CM8S 8-Inch Single Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw. At just 37 pounds, the CM8S is described as the “ultimate in portability and convenience for jobsite cuts.”
The product offers a well-balanced saw with a top-handle for one-handed transportation on and off jobsites. Almost half the weight of larger saws, the CM8S offers a convenient solution for remodelers, flooring contractors and woodworkers who need a portable saw. The CM8S delivers nearly the same cutting capacity as a 10-inch miter saw, but weighs 30% less, the company said.
Easy access controls – including a bevel lock lever and turret stops – located on the side of the tool allow users to make quick and easy adjustments for multiple cuts. A unique vertical, form-fitting trigger handle provides intuitive cutting and ambidextrous use. Soft grip on both the main handle and top carry handle provide added comfort.
The CM8S is available now at authorized dealers nationwide. For a suggested retail price of $469, the CM8S includes a 48T blade, blade wrench and dust bag.
Legrand offers cable cord solution
West Hartford, Conn.-based Legrand introduced the Wiremold Flat Screen TV Cord and Cable Power Kit as a solution to unsightly cords and cables.
The do-it-yourself kit allows for neat and easy installation in under 30 minutes with no electrician or hard-wiring involved, the company said.
The Wiremold Flat Screen TV Cord and Cable Power Kit includes all parts and tools to power up the TV and hide all the cords and cables.
There’s no hard-wiring of a new wall outlet, no need to attach anything to a stud, and holes are tidy, small and fully covered by finish rings. This solution uses the cavity behind interior or exterior drywall and between the studs to conceal wiring. Grommets plus a power harness and power cord form a plug-to-plug power connection. They also guide low-voltage cables into and out of the wall cavity.
The kit includes fish tape to make cable pulling quick and easy. Finish rings complete the installation with a neat, professional look
