The Tile Shop has opened up its fifth Dallas-area showroom in The Colony, Texas, located at 6240 Morning Star Drive.

The store will also feature an on-site design and education center, fully-decorated, room-size displays, and free do-it-yourself workshops.

“Our tile collection encompasses many colors, shapes, patterns and textures that allow people to express their own style, and we’re excited to introduce The Colony area homeowners and trade professionals to our product selection and shopping experience,” said Carl Randazzo, senior VP retail for The Tile Shop. “We’re as passionate about our customers as we are about our products, and as a project partner, we understand their home is a big part of their lives. Whether dressing up a single surface, doing a complete remodel or building a new home, we bring customers product and design inspiration, expert advice, superior service and confidence to achieve their vision.”

Irwin announces new Strait-Line Chalk & Reel innovations

BY HBSDealer Staff

Irwin Tools has announced new advancements to its Strait-Line Chalk & Reel line, including larger chalk reel openings for increased speed and visibility, line strength for fewer breaks, and enhanced usability and ergonomics.

Irwin is also introducing a new chalk reel, the LayoutPro, as part of an expanded large capacity chalk reel offering.

"Our new Strait-Line range combines the speed, durability and accuracy our users expect from our Chalk & Reel line," said Lisa Hunter, senior manager at Irwin. "For more than 50 years, Irwin Strait-Line has been the trusted brand in marking tools, and this next generation continues this heritage with innovations that let professionals be more productive on the job."

The new Easy Fill & Lock Top innovation is a large, 1/4-turn locking top available on the MACH6 and the Speedline PRO chalk reels. This feature provides a wide opening when filling the reel or accessing internals and locks securely to prevent spills. The wide openings give added visibility into the reels. The improved internal access allows users to access the spool to work out line tangles or retrieve broken lines without taking the reel apart.

The Speedline and Classic reels also feature larger chalk reel openings with a 70% larger door than previous models. Both reels provide 100 ft. of abrasion-resistant polyester line that delivers up to six strikes per pull, and have large center hubs for increased durability, strength and torque. The Speedline reel is three times faster than traditional reels and housed in lightweight ABS, according to the company, while the Classic is a durable jobsite option with its tough aluminum housing for impact resistance.
