Taylor Morrison elects Anne Mariucci to board of directors

Taylor Morrison Home Corporation, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based home builder, has elected Anne Mariucci to its board of directors as an independent member and a member of the Audit Committee.

“We’re so very delighted and privileged to add Anne to our board of directors,” said president and CEO Sheryl Palmer. “Her extensive community development, home-building and financial experience will prove to be invaluable to the board as we continue to capitalize on market opportunities and grow our operations.”

Mariucci has more than 30 years of experience in home building and real estate under her belt. She has held various executive senior management roles with Del Webb Corp., including president, which she assumed following the company’s merger with Pulte Homes. During her time there, she oversaw Del Webb’s large-scale community development and home-building business.

Currently, she serves on the Arizona Board of Regents, of which she is the immediate past chairman. She’s also a director of Corrections Corporation of America, Southwest Gas Company, the University of Arizona Health Network, Arizona State University Foundation and the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation.

Air mover recalled

Packaging Tape Inc. recalled air movers due to a fire hazard, the company and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced yesterday.

The CleanFreak.com air mover/blower’s thermal switch can fail and cause the motor to overheat, posing a fire hazard. The products are used to dry floors in commercial and residential buildings.

The recall affects about 2,800 units, which were sold online and at Packaging Tape warehouses in Wisconsin. The products were manufactured in China, and imported by OPS America of Loretto, Minn.

Coastal Farm and Ranch buys three stores

BY HBSDEALER Staff

Albany, Ore.-based Coastal Farm and Ranch boosted its footprint to 15 Northwest locations with the purchase of three Big R stores.

Coastal’s three new locations are in the Oregon cities of Klamath Falls, White City and Redmond, formerly held by Tyrholm Big R, based in White City.

Terms of the deal were not released.

According to an article in the Herald and News of Klamath Falls, the stores are expected to be rebranded as Coastal Big R.
