Tarkett rolls out campaign for Johnsonite

BY David Salazar

Ohio-based flooring company Tarkett has unveiled a new social media contest, #WeLikeItNatural. The contest is an effort to promote its Johnsonite iQ Natural line of vinyl flooring.

Potential contestants can order samples of the flloring and take photos of it outdoors. Submissions will be displayed on the Facebook page for Johnsonite, and there will drawings every week to see what photo moves on. Users will vote for the top three submissions. Winners receive either a Tarkett FitBit or a $500 gift card to sporting goods store REI.

"We know that architects and designers like to engage with products and touch and feel samples," Tarkett North America’s SVP, Jeff Krejsa, said. "Through this fun, interactive contest, we are not only able to educate users on the benefits of our iQ™ Natural product, but help drive their creativity by building a more in-depth familiarity with the product. We also hope this will encourage specifiers to take a more environmentally-focused approach to product selection."

‘Organize Your Kitchen’ promises order, and quickly

BY HBSDealer Staff

Hardware Resources is promising a user-friendly home organization system via its new "Organize Your Kitchen in 11 Minutes or Less" kitchen organizer line.

The pitch? Homeowners need only spend 11 minutes putting the organizers together, which can be assembled simply with a screwdriver. Additionally, each product can be installed using four screws or fewer.

"This line is revolutionary in two ways: 1) they fit into existing cabinets without the need to remove shelves or dividers 2) these solutions have never been so easy to install," said Marisa Sanchez, product manager for kitchen cabinet organizers for Hardware Resources. "We challenged the model that pro-organizers are finicky to install and best left in the hands of professionals. Similar items on the market are harder to retrofit into cabinets with shelves. The easy-to-install feature is one both homeowners and design professionals will appreciate."

Comprising the new collection: a pullout trash can, pullout basket, cleaning supply caddy, sink front tipout trays, under-cabinet wine bottle rack, and door-mounted tray system (pictured), among others.

The product line will be sold at specialty hardware stores, retailers and showrooms.
