Sears Outlet opens in Modesto
Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores is making its second store opening in a week with the addition of a new Sears Outlet Store in Modesto, California.
"The Modesto community can expect a treasure hunt feel as they explore our wide variety of products, all at a great value," said Sajid Malik, store manager of the new Sears Outlet Store in Modesto. "It’s like a paradise for shoppers who love to find bargains. Plus, we have a highly-trained staff in place that’s ready to help guide customers around the store and teach them about the differences in brands or models, so they can find exactly what they’re looking for."
The store, in typical Sears Outlet fashion, offers more than 18,000 sq. ft. of retail space with bargain items that are often discontinued, used, reconditioned, overstocked or cosmetically blemished.
The store, located at 1800 Prescott Avenue, officially opened its doors on July 31, making the seventh Sears Outlet Store to open this year and the 18th of all Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores formats.
Sears Hometown breaks ground in Oklahoma
Oklahoma is getting a new Sears Hometown location, slated to open July 30 in Shawnee, about 45 minutes east of Oklahoma City.
"We look forward to providing the Shawnee community the largest selection of home appliances, tools, and lawn and garden equipment at the lowest possible price," said Ryan Guyer, local owner of the new Sears Hometown Store in Shawnee. "Our highly skilled Shawnee team and in-store Internet kiosks are ready to provide customers with expert product knowledge to ensure they’re getting the best competitive pricing and the best product around — they can price check other retailers and read customer reviews right in our store."
The Shawnee location, like other Sears Hometown stores, will be outfitted to provide local customers with products and brands usually only found in Sears stores. Customers will also be able to order any product offered by Sears, with the option to order the products online and pick them up in-store.
The new store, which will be the sixth Sears Hometown Store to open this year and the 16th of any Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores formats, will be located at 4901 N. Kickapoo St., Suite 3001.
