The Property Brothers come to QVC
Jonathan and Drew Scott are on the books for another television series — this time on the QVC channel.
"Scott Living" will debut on QVC this Tuesday, March 31 at 10 p.m. EST., featuring the Scott brothers selling their various outdoor furnishings and accessories.
"Jonathan and Drew are famous for their ability to transform any living space into a dream dwelling," said Ken O'Brien, senior VP merchandising for QVC. "We hope viewers will be inspired by the expert tips the brothers have to offer and seize the opportunity to update or refresh their outdoor spaces, just in time for spring."
The Scott Living collection features patio furniture, lanterns and lamps, decorative planters and more in styles ranging from traditional to contemporary.
"Helping fans turn their dream homes into reality is something we're very passionate about," said Jonathan Scott.
"We are excited to unveil our collection on QVC and share our knowledge and experience with millions of viewers across the country," added Drew Scott.
Executive promotion at Newell Rubbermaid
Newell Rubbermaid has promoted Bradford Turner to the role of senior VP, general counsel and corporate secretary.
Effective April 1, Turner will serve on the company's Executive Leadership Team, reporting to president and CEO Michael Polk.
"Brad's deep knowledge of Newell Rubbermaid and his years of experience supporting our operating groups make him an ideal choice for this role," said Polk. "He will be a tremendous asset to our leadership team. His promotion to this key position is representative of the great bench strength we are developing within our company."
He will be transitioning from his most recent role as VP and deputy general counsel. Prior to that, he held a number of roles in the Legal Services Department.
Before joining Newell Rubbermaid in 2004, he was an associate with Troutman Sanders LLP.
Turner is also a member of the Georgia Bar Association, as well as the chair of the Executive Committee of the Corporate Counsel Section and the president of the Writing Instrument Manufacturers Association.
Ply Gem promotes new way to go outside
Ply Gem Windows describes its latest entry in the patio doors space as a high-performance, high-aesthetic achievement.
The introduction of Ply Gem Windows’ new Mira Premium Impact Series Bi-Parting door offers new possibilities for builders and remodelers. “Sacrificing aesthetics for storm safety is a thing of the past,” the company says.
Available in sizes up to 12 feet wide, which provides up to six feet of horizontal space when open, the cascading bi-parting patio doors simulate the look of a glass wall with added storm protection.
The doors come equipped with impact-rated glass, based on the same technology found in automotive safety glass, to help prevent windblown debris from breaking through a home’s seal with no action required by the homeowner. Selection includes 46 exterior colors.
