ProBuild appoints Jeff Pinkerman as CFO
ProBuild Holdings has named Jeff Pinkerman as chief financial officer.
Pinkerman brings more than 20 years of finance experience in industries including telecommunications, construction and distribution to ProBuild. Most recently, Pinkerman worked at Arrow Electronics, a global distributor of electronic components and computer products, where he held multiple roles, including chief accounting officer and CFO of Arrow’s Americas Components Division. He has also served in senior leadership positions with American Civil Constructors, Level 3 Communications, Gemini Submarine Cable Systems, Peter Kiewit Sons’ and MFS Communications.
“Jeff brings decades of finance leadership and a deep experience with distribution to the CFO role,” said Rob Marchbank, CEO of ProBuild Holdings. “His experience in public companies and private equity, coupled with his expertise in all aspects of accounting, finance and operations, will be a tremendous asset to ProBuild in our next phase of growth.”
ProBuild is a diversified supplier of lumber and building materials to professional builders and contractors. The company operates about 400 lumber and building product distribution, manufacturing and assembly centers serving 42 U.S. states.
Central Garden & Pet rolls out BioSpot Active Care line
Central Garden & Pet Company has introduced its new BioSpot Active Care brand, a line of proactive health and wellness products for pets.
BioSpot products, which are are branded with a "bold look for stronger on-shelf presence," include flea and tick solutions, supplements, millk replacers and other solutions for common health needs. These include a faster-drying Spot On flea and tick product for dogs and a yard spray that works for up to four weeks and controls more than 47 outdoor insects.
A 3-Step Program for flea and tick control is the premier solution offered by the brand, which can be customized based on individual need.
Central Garden & Pet will be promoting the new BioSpot Active Care brand via a television, print and digital campaign.
LG’s HVAC products rack up Energy Star points
LG is highlighting 14 of its duct-free air conditioners that have earned the Energy Star "Most Efficient" 2014 designation.
Five of those 14 hail from the LG "Art Cool" duct-free split series, which brings design-minded appeal together with energy-efficient features.
"LG has made a strong commitment to energy efficiency as a core business principle across the company," said VP commercial air conditioning Kevin McNamara. "The number of Art Cool and Inverter systems designated as Energy Star Most Efficient has close to doubled from 2012. With LG, it’s all possible. Our customers don’t have to sacrifice energy efficiency for performance and style. Expanding the number of Energy Star Most Efficient HVAC models represents another important step in LG’s quest to provide consumers highly efficient, greener products."
Those earning the Most Efficient designation include Art Cool models LAU/LAN090HSV2, LAU/LAN120HSV2, LAU/LAN180HSV2, LAU/LAN090HYV, LAU/LAN120HYV and High Efficiency Inverter models LSU/LSN091HSV2,LSU/LSN091HSV3, LSU/LSN121HSV2, LSU/LSN121HSV3 LSU/LSN181HSV2, LSU/LSN181HSV3, LSU/LSN240HSV3,LSU/LSN090HYV and LSU/LSN120HYV.
Last year, the company earned the Most Efficient designation for nearly 80 of its HDTVs, refrigerators and washing machines. LG was named Energy Star Partner of the Year in 2012 and 2013.
