PRO Group signs with The Vendor Center

The PRO Group is enlisting the services of The Vendor Center to facilitate smoother connections between retailers, vendors and distributors.

"We are thrilled to be affiliated with the PRO Group and look forward to working with all their distributor members and vendors," said The Vendor Center president Darrell Wabschall.

Using the new service, PRO Group retail members will be able to access on-demand vendor information.

Conversely, vendors can use the secure business-to-business website to market their products to retailers, providing information such as pricing, catalogs, how-to videos and further information on how to order products with all billing processing handled by the appropriate PRO Group distributor.

"We are always looking for value-added service providers to offer our distributor members, their retail members and our Pro Group vendors," said PRO Group, Inc. managing director Shari Kalbach. "The Vendor Center represents a powerful tool leveraging today’s technology to effectively connect all stake holders in the supply chain."

Handy names VP sales

Houston-based hardware distributor Handy Hardware named Brian Sarno as VP sales.

Sarno’s past experience includes positions at Interline Brands and W.W. Granger. According to the company, Sarno has deep experience in the wholesale and distribution industries. 

The company made the announcement at its recent Fall Market in San Antonio.

Dremel touts the new Micro 8050

The release of the new Dremel Micro 8050 is being hailed as more than just a run-of-the-mill product launch. According to the Mount Prospect, Illinois-based company, the 8050 is "the most powerful and precise compact cordless rotary tool Dremel has yet to produce."

"The Micro 8050 represents a new evolution in the rotary tool category that offers precise control with surprising power," said Ed Pchola, product director for Dremel. "It fills a need for a multifunctional tool for people who engage in hands-on, detailed activities."

Qualifying the Micro 8050’s claim to fame is its size, ergonomic design and integrated LED front-end lighting.

Additional features include a variable-speed indicator, battery fuel gauge, docking station charger and an ability to maneuever in tight spaces.

Retail channels for the Dremel Micro 8050 include Home Depot and Lowe’s stores nationwide, as well as Amazon.com.
