Pet food company adds capacity
Pet food supplier the Honest Kitchen is consolidating and adding capacity to distribution of its line of FDA-Approved, 100% Human Grade whole foods for pets, throughout the Eastern Seaboard.
“This expansion in distribution is an important move for The Honest Kitchen, as we continue on our current rapid growth trajectory,” said The Honest Kitchen’s VP sales, Steve Donzelli. “The move will allow us to add a significant number of new doors, improve our already exceptional service and help more pets on the road to good health, through good quality, whole-food nutrition.”
The major additions to the company’s distribution network include Phillips, which will provide brand-managed distribution services along the entire east coast and southeast, and Summit (Animal Supply Company), which will expand their reach throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.
Pet Food Experts (Rhode Island) will continue to provide distribution coverage with an expanded territory in the Northeast. Holistic Pet Source will also maintain its entire distribution footprint in select eastern states, including Tennessee, Kentucky and the Carolinas.
“We’re excited to offer The Honest Kitchen’s line of dehydrated whole foods to our customers on the East Coast,” said Blaine Phillips of Phillips Pet Food & Supplies. “We have a large number of retailers for whom this innovative product is an excellent fit. The Honest Kitchen is dedicated to high-quality ingredients and nutrition, and we are thrilled to partner with them."
George Ristevski, Animal Supply Company CEO, stated, “We have enjoyed a strong partnership with The Honest Kitchen in multiple regions throughout the United States, and we are pleased to add the company’s products to our offerings in this expanded territory on the East Coast, through our Southeast Region company, Summit Pet.”
KitchenAid introduces new gas cooktops
KitchenAid has introduced a line of six new gas cooktops, designed to meet the discerning eye of home cooks with professional standards.
"Just as automotive companies design specific models for car enthusiasts, our goal with these newest cooktops is to catch the eye and raise the pulse of cooking enthusiasts with easily visible upgrades in craftsmanship, performance and fit, feel and finish," said Beth Robinson, senior manager of brand experience for KitchenAid. "The kitchen may be the heart of the home, but it’s the cooktop that’s the heart of the kitchen, which for cooks makes it the single most important vehicle for expressing their passion and creativity."
The cooktops come with a variety of burners (ranging from 5K to 20K BTUs) as well as either Multiflame or Professional Dual Ring burners for quick transitions between high heat and low heat.
Additionally, cooktops come with a diffuser plate incorporated into an Even-Heat Simmer Burner for handling ingredients like butter, chocolate and various sauces.
Other features include the CookShield, a permanent, easy-clean finish for the cooktop surface, Multi-Finish Knobs for extra precision, chrome highlights, a brushed metal surface and LED back lighting for the knobs in certain models.
