Pavestone steps up its mobile optimization
Atlanta Pavestone, a manufacturer of pavers, retaining walls and other segmental concrete products, introduced a new mobile-optimized website. Designed with intuitive navigation, users can easily and quickly access the product and project information they need from a desktop computer, laptop, smartphone or tablet.
“We’re committed to helping every customer successfully address the unique circumstances of each job while staying on schedule and in budget,” said Tim Berns, VP of sales at Pavestone. “With national distribution supported by regional resources, we consistently deliver on that promise.”
He added that the new site offers a streamlined customer experience. It offers customized information ranging from municipal programs with sophisticated sustainability requirements to do-it-yourself backyard project inspiration.
The website functions include a product gallery a project gallery and project videos. And it’s designed to connect contractors, specifiers, landscape architects, retailers and homeowners to customer service, technical expertise and other local sales representatives.
“The website is a one-stop-shop,” said Berns.
WORX points to increased power
The WORX Hydroshot Portable Power Cleaner has doubled its battery capacity this spring with a new model powered by a 40V MAX battery. The 40V battery increases Hydroshot’s run time and performance capabilities, the company said.
Typical projects might include watering projects around the home, dock, poolside and other fresh water access areas.
“Unlike conventional pressure washers, we saw a need for a light duty portable power cleaner that was safe to use and could effectively tackle jobs at home, or in remote areas,” said WORX Product Manager, Brandon Martin. “By increasing Hydroshot’s battery voltage to 40 volts, homeowners benefit by getting longer run times with greater water pressure to manage a variety of tasks.”
Hydroshot connects to fresh water sources through a standard garden hose or its 20-ft. accessory hose with intake (included). The intake draws water from lakes, rivers, pools or buckets. It includes an adjustable float, like a bobber, to keep it from touching bottom. Hydroshot also connects to most 2-liter bottles with a 1 in. opening through an optional Bottle Cap Connector accessory.
The steady improvement of battery performance is one of the top trends in the outdoor power equipment arena, and has been for years.
In the case of the Hydroshot, power is provided by a 40V Max 2.0 Ah battery. This battery has an LED power gauge. By pressing the battery’s red keypad, it signals how many bars are left before it needs recharging. Run time varies based on the selected operating mode and speed. When the nozzle is in the low shower spray pattern, it can run up to 45 minutes.
