Olympic Paint and Stain named Lowe’s Innovation Partner of the Year
Citing the company’s unique problem-solving focus, Lowe’s honored Olympic Paint and Stain as its 2013 Innovation Partner of the Year at its annual vendor meeting.
"With the launch of its new resurfacing product, Olympic rescued consumers who were previously stuck with only costly replacement options," said Mike Jones, Lowe’s chief merchandising officer. "By working hand-in-hand, Olympic and Lowe’s have raised the bar on delivering quality and value, helping make home improvement simpler by solving a complex problem for customers."
The company’s Olympic RESCUE IT! product was largely responsible for fetching the accolade. The exterior resurfacting stain helps homeowners restore damaged or weathered decks, patios and driveways by filling wood and concrete cracks, as well as tinting to more than 110 colors.
The product was launched exclusively at Lowe’s in March 2013 and has since earned a five-star rating, as well as 100% recommendation rate on Lowes.com.

Upsolar, a solar PV module company with an international footprint, has named the winners of its "Concorso Solare Upsolar" contest.
Those considered for prizes included homeowners and installers who purchased Upsolar products in Italy between September 2012 and March 2013. Rewards included PV system refunds for homeowners, as well as vacation packages to Shanghai for installers, where the company’s corporate headquarters is located.
"We strive to show gratitude to our valued customers and tireless installer network on a daily basis, but this contest was a chance to do something really special for a lucky few,” said Giuseppe D’Elia, country manager of Upsolar Italy. “We recognize that our success is founded in our strong, long-term relationships, and we’re happy to go above and beyond to ensure we’re offering top-tier products, services and support each step of the way.”
Installers who won trips to Shanghai were treated to a company-guided tour of the region, as well as the company’s headquarters and R&D center.
