At new appliance store, who’s afraid of showrooming?
Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores opened its latest Florida Sears Home Appliance Showroom in Sunrise, Florida.
The store is is one of six Sears Home Appliance Showrooms owned and operated by Michael Myers.
"Our new Sears Home Appliance Showroom in Sunrise offers the local community great appliances at a competitive price with expert product knowledge right at their fingertips," said Myers. "We focus on providing convenience and accessibility to the products our customers need and want. Our goal is to become a valuable community partner by striving to offer the highest level of customer service and building relationships with local residents, businesses, organizations and community groups."
According to the company, the stores are embracing the trend of "showrooming," whereby consumers visit the brick-and-mortar store to browse merchandise, and then search for low prices and purchase online.
The company says that a price-match policy at Sunrise Sears Home Appliance Showroom guarantees the lowest price on the top appliance brands, and is equipped with an Internet kiosk where customers are guided by sales staff to view similar products, price match with other retailers and order products not available in the store.
