Levolor expands its Accordia shade options
Atlanta, Georgia-based Levolor is adding to its Accordia Custom Cellular Shade product offerings, which hit Lowe’s shelves exclusively on Aug. 28 and are due in other nationwide home improvement retail stores Oct. 1.
The Accordia portfolio, which currently spans more than 200 styles, will be expanded further with new color and fabric swatches.
New to the crop are the Heathered and Tree Bark collections, which feature hues such as buttercream, light fog, cherry blossom, marine, amethyst and bayleaf.
"Our wide range of new woven fabrics and colors are perfect for fall or winter home redecorating," said Anne Marie Lisko, director of marketing for Levolor.
Accordia shades are made with a honeycomb design and topped off with Levolor’s Energy Shield technology, which helps decrease energy bills by up to 17%.
Depot reassures customers over data probe
Home Depot advised customers that whatever the result of the retailer’s probe into a possible payment data breach, customers will be off the hook for fraudulent transactions.
That reassurance appeared in a statement under the headline “Message to our customers about news reports of a possible payment data breach,” on the company’s web site.
On Tuesday, reports emerged indicating the Home Depot was investigating “unusual activity” that suggested a possible data breach.
The statement reads, in part:
“We know that this news may be concerning and we apologize for the worry this can create. If we confirm a breach has occurred, we will make sure our customers are notified immediately. For now, you should know the following:
“First, you will not be responsible for any possible fraudulent charges. The financial institution that issued your card or Home Depot are responsible for those charges should we confirm a breach.
“Make sure you are closely monitoring your accounts and reach out to your card issuer should you notice any unusual activity.
“If we confirm a breach, we will offer free identity protection services, including credit monitoring, to any potentially impacted customers.
“We’re working hard to get you the information you need as quickly as possible and will continue to provide updates as we learn more.”

Phoenix, Arizona-based Western Window Systems has been included in Inc. Magazine’s 33rd annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. The designer and manufacturer of door and window systems made the list with three-year sales growth of 236%.
