Jacuzzi expands into tankless water heaters
Jacuzzi Group Worldwide, a manufacturer of bath and spa products, announced that it has expanded its product portfolio to include a new collection of energy-efficient tankless water heaters, which will be available exclusively at select Lowe’s stores and Lowes.com.
Powered by natural gas or propane, Jacuzzi tankless units heat water as it is needed. They use up to 30% less energy than a traditional tank-style water heater.

Founder of Yardbirds dies
John Morrison Headley, who once reigned over a chain of 10 California home improvement stores, died in his home in Santa Rosa at the age of 77, according to an article in the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.
Headley operated the Petaluma-based Yardbirds for three decades and often united with other business owners to keep Home Depot from opening new units in the Bay Area of Northern California. But in December 2005, Headley sold Yardbirds to Home Depot, which closed several of the units and remodeled the others into co-branded small format stores.
Home Depot later closed the five remaining Yardbird locations, along with its Expo Design Centers, in 2009 as a cost-cutting move.
