Installed Building Products expands
Installed Building Products, a major insulation installer based in Columbus, Ohio, is expanding its Midwestern presence through the acquisition of Installed Building Solutions, LLC ("IBS").
Farmington, Minnesota-based IBS is an installer of fiberglass insulation, spray foam insulation and waterproofing products that serves burgeoning markets throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota.

IBS reported sales for the trailing 12 months ending September 30, 2014 of approximately $17.4 million.
Insteon unveils dual On/Off Outlet
Irvine, California-based Insteon announced the industry’s first dual-on/off, dual-band outlet. Now consumers can separately and remotely control each of two sockets with a degree of reliability 100 times greater than competing protocols, the company claims.
The new On/Off Outlet includes Separate controls for each socket, Dual band communications via the combination of RF and Powerline communications, and tamper-proof shutters to prevent shocks and burns.
“Insteon’s new On/Off Outlet is yet another example of Insteon’s extraordinary range and versatility in today’s connected home,” said Joe Dada, CEO of Insteon. “Now consumers have significantly more flexibility as they seek to set scenes and save power. In particular, the combination of RF and Powerline communications in a single device makes it the most reliable outlet of its kind.”
With a collection of some 200 devices, the company describes itself as "creators of the world’s premier home automation and control technology."
The product retails for about $60.
