DuPont Pioneer, Weyerhaeuser team for tech license agreement
Weyerhaeuser has joined forces with DuPont Pioneer on a technology license agreement to explore new types of seeds.
The companies will use the agreement to look at sustainable ways to make more productive corn crops based on Weyerhaeuser’s seed technology. This technology lets farmers bring hard-to-find or less hardy plants back to life.
"DuPont Pioneer is pleased to work with Weyerhaeuser to build upon our robust pipeline of enabling technologies," John Arbuckle, vice president, Crop Genetics Research and Development for DuPont Pioneer, said. "We are committed to helping growers be more productive and profitable on every acre. This new agreement provides access to cutting edge technology to support that objective."
LG expands 4-door fridge line with new additions
Electronics and appliance manufacturer LG announced three new additions to its lineup of four-door refrigerators this week.
The new models all feature the LG CustomChill drawer, which allows owners to organize and quickly access favorites foods and drinks.
One of the new refrigerators features a small, shallow door that will fit drinks and snacks and can be opened separately from the main door. Additionally, LG is introducing its super capacity refrigerator with 30 cubic feet of space. It’s counterpart is the counter-depth fridge that sits flush with kitchen countertops.
"With the expansion of our 4-Door refrigerator lineup, we’re proud to continue offering a variety of appliance features that improve everyday tasks in the kitchen,” LG USA’s marketing head, David VanderWaal, said. “Whether it’s providing quick access to family favorites, storing more foods and beverages, or saving time with convenience features like CustomChill."
