Fresno OSH suffers fire damage

An Orchard Supply Hardware store in Fresno, Calif. suffered fired damage Wednesday morning causing tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage, according to ABC 30 news.

The fire was apparently caused by a cash register, according to the article, resulting in between $50,000 and $75,000 worth of damage.

Arson suspected in hardware store fire

According to an article on News4Jax.com, a fire at Jacksonville hardware store destroyed about $500,000 worth of inventory.

Investigators believe the fire at Bold City Hardware store on Normandy Boulevard was set intentionally, and the continue the investigation.  The owner said he was lucky the damage was limited to the warehouse.

Hardware store closes in Michigan

According to an article in the Farmington Patch, an Ace Hardware store in Farmington closed its doors.

The store’s shopping center, the Downtown Farmington Center, has been hit with a rash of recent closings. Space previously occupied by Quizno’s, Office Depot and Tuesday Morning remain empty, according to the article. The Ace store measured 19,200 square feet.
