Fiberon names Long Island manager
New London, N.C.-based Fiberon, a manufacturer of wood-alternative decking, railing and fencing products, hired Dustin Ferriso as territory manager.
Ferriso will serve Fiberon’s distributor and dealer customers on the 118-mile-long territory of Long Island, N.Y., including the five boroughs of New York City. He will work out of an office based in Lindenhurst, N.Y.
In addition to serving the dealer and distributor customers that comprise Fiberon’s existing channel network on Long Island, Dustin will also be responsible for identifying new channel opportunities for the company. He will also manage the region’s FiberPRO community of professional deck builders.
“Long Island is an exceptionally dense area in terms of consumers, and the dealers and distributors which serve them,” said Bob Ottersen, northeast region sales manager for Fiberon. “Dustin is a native Long Islander and seasoned sales professional, making him the ideal person to work with our customers in this region.”
Ferriso is a 14-year veteran of the home-improvement industry. Prior to joining the Fiberon team, he served as store manager for WindowRama Enterprises in Edgewood, N.Y., overseeing all aspects of the business, including customer service, merchandising and inventory management.
