Eco Building Products acquires Eco Prime

BY HBSDealer Staff

Eco Building Products has completed its acquisition of the operating assets of its former affiliate, Eco Prime, in Augusta, Georgia. This acquisition more than doubles Eco Building Products’ current national coating capacity and positions its operations to penetrate the Southeast multi-family and single-family new-home construction markets.

"This acquisition is a critical next step in executing a strategy to penetrate high demand markets while staying within a targeted distance from the indigenous saw mill, engineered wood and panel industries," said Tom Comery, president and CEO.  "We know our plants need to be close to the forests and or the market, and with this acquisition we now have operations in three key areas — the Pacific Northwest, the Southeast and the Northeast.

"In just a few short weeks, we have moved to rationalize our product line and channel strategy to drive focus in execution,” Comery added. "The best news is that we already have a solid order file at Augusta and are ramping up to produce our core suite of products."

Options grow for GAF contractors

BY HBSDealer Staff

GAF, North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, has added so far in 2015 four additional relationships to its Certified Contractor Program.

The program is designed to help contractors run their business easier.

“A critically important part of our CCP offering is our vendor-partner relationships. Helping our contractors create more leads, grow their sales, and build their business capabilities is another way we can assist them,” said Jim Slauson, VP of GAF’s Certification Program and Services. “We are pleased to be adding these new vendors to our “Tools 4 Success” vendor portfolio to further assist our CCP contractors.”

The company outlined the additions in a recent announcement:

• Roofer’s Choice Insurance is a roofing-specific insurance agency based out of Texas that offers insurance coverage in all 50 states. Its mission is to provide coverage that will protect businesses in the event of a loss. Offerings include General Liability, Workers Compensation, a full range of employee benefits, a human resources department, a payroll service, and more.

• Enrolling in the Contractor's Financial Services accelerated payment program provides accelerated (usually within 24 hours) and predictable A/R cash flow, generates immediate working capital to bid more jobs without incurring debt, and makes the contractor's invoicing and accounts receivable management simpler, more professional, and less costly, GAF said.

• JumpHawk builds a top-ranking lead-generation website in contractors’ key markets. The company’s HawkSite technology has been tested with GAF Master Elite Contractors with “incredible results,” according to GAF.

• Admirals Bank is a federally chartered financial institution operating in all 50 states. The bank has a history of uncovering niche markets and has pioneered lending in the residential solar market.
