EarthTronics highlights commercial bulbs
Muskegon, Mich.-based EarthTronics is promoting its Globe, Candle and general purpose A-type EarthBulb LEDs as an energy-efficient solution to replacing incandescent bulbs for hospitality, restaurant, long-term care and retail locations.
Each bulb features a multi-chipset high-power LED, with an advanced cooling system and provides extended performance life and high color rendering of greater than 80 CRI. EarthBulb LEDs offer smooth dimming capabilities from 100% to less than 5%. The long rated life and energy savings that exceeds 80% provide a quick return on investment.
The Globe G25 EarthBulb LED is available in 8 watts, providing 500 lumens. It replaces 60-watt incandescent globe bulbs, providing 3000K color of light for 40,000 hours. The white Globe LED is ideal for bathroom, hanging pendant and other decorative fixtures.
Developed to replace 40-watt incandescent candle bulbs, the decorative Candle EarthBulb LED is available in 5 watts and produces 315 lumens with a full 250 degree beam angle. It is designed to last 25,000 hours. This Energy Star-rated, Candle LED bulb fits into wall sconces, decorative fixtures and chandeliers.
Dutch Boy rolls out new-and-improved paint
Dutch Boy’s latest entry in the paint aisle — Dirt Fighter Paint + Primer — offers paint-and-primer in one messaging, plus an easy-to-clean and wash message.

KB Home elects Michael Wood to board of directors
KB Home’s board of directors has unanimously elected Michael M. Wood, founder and chairman of Redwood Investments LLC, to serve as a director and a member of its audit and compliance committee.
“Mike brings to the board a notable blend of financial, housing market, policymaking and environmental sustainability acumen and experience,” said Stephen Bollenbach, chairman of the board. “In addition, his success in building a groundbreaking research and media enterprise that became the go-to resource for the construction industry makes him an outstanding addition to the board.”
Redwood Investments is a Washington, D.C.-based investment company specializing in media, real estate and alternative energy that Wood established in 2005.
Beyond his role there, Wood also served as the U.S. ambassador to Sweden between 2006 and 2009, working primarily to establish a cooperative relationship regarding alternative energy technology. He earned the insignia of Commander Grand Cross, Order of the Polar Star, from the King of Sweden in 2009, a top honor that the Royal Family bestows upon those of foreign birth who contribute significantly to Sweden’s progress.
He was also previously co-founder and CEO of Hanley Wood LLC, a business-to-business media property specializing in construction.
He serves as chairman of CSP Business Media, LLC and is a member of the board of trustees for The American-Scandinavian Foundation in New York, as well as the board of directors of Capital Partners for Education in Washington, D.C.
