Dave Beeken named president of Silver Line
Andersen Corporation has promoted Dave Beeken to president of the Silver Line Division, replacing Paul Valle.
“Our vinyl business is an important element of our overall strategy to lead the window and door industry with a wide ranging portfolio of different and better products and services,” said Andersen Corporation chairman, president and CEO Jay Lund. “Dave brings to this business a long track record of success during his thirty-five year career in the window and door industry.”
Previously, Beeken was senior VP Doors and Accessories for the Andersen Division. Before that, he was senior VP and general manager of the Architectural Products Division and was responsible for the new Andersen Architectural Collection as well as the integration of Eagle Windows and Doors, where he began his career in 1977 and served as former president.
Beeken was formerly the chairman of the Window and Door Manufacturer’s Association as well as 2003’s Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Iowa and Nebraska.
Andersen acquired Silver Line in 2006.
AGCO Appoints Roger Batkin as general counsel
AGCO, also known as Your Agriculture Company, has promoted Roger Batkin to VP, general counsel after three months of serving as interim general counsel. The title change is effective immediately.

AGCO is a manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment and infrastructure. Batkin, previously AGCO’s VP legal services EAME & APAC and director UK operations has been with the company since 2000.
Converse to speak at Decking & Railing event
Gary Converse, Osmose’s senior VP, is among the presenters at the upcoming Composite Decking & Railing Conference, Oct. 28-29 in Baltimore.
The topic for his Oct. 28 presentation is: “Color infused treated lumber technology: competitive threat to traditional composites?”
Converse has more than 33 years experience in the wood preservation industry. His experience includes wood preservative research and development at Koppers Company Product Development Center in Ohio, and treating and plant operation management in Colorado and California. At Osmose, his responsibilities include regional, national and global marketing management.
The Composite Decking & Railing Conference, a Principia event, is described as an event with the latest product developments and market trends in composite decking and railing, will be held at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore.
