ABC Supply hires chief administrative officer
Building products distributor ABC Supply Co. has named Todd Buehl as VP and chief administrative officer, a newly created position. Buehl will focus on continued growth, including acquisitions, real estate, risk management and internal process improvements.
Buehl comes to ABC Supply from Hendricks Holding Co., where he most recently served as executive VP. During his eight years there, he worked with ABC Supply on many key acquisitions, including its 2010 acquisition of Bradco Supply Corp. He has served on ABC Supply’s board of directors since 2008. Hendricks Holding Co. is affiliated with ABC Supply through common ownership.
Buehl began his career with William Blair & Co., a Chicago-based global investment banking and asset management firm.
Based in Beloit, Wis., ABC Supply is one of the nation’s largest distributors of roofing, siding, windows and other exterior building products.
HD supply promotes executive
HD Supply Facilities Maintenance has appointed Perry Smiley as its new VP multi-family solutions. A 17-year veteran of the company, Smiley most recently served as the VP field sales at HD Supply, where he managed all sales regions nationwide. Prior to that, he served as the company’s VP sales for the western division of the United States.
As the new VP multi-family, Smiley will report directly to Anesa Chaibi, president and CEO of HD Supply Facilities Maintenance.
HD Supply Facilities Maintenance is a leading supplier of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) products to owners and managers of multi-family, hospitality, educational and commercial properties; healthcare providers; and municipal and government facilities. HD Supply Facilities Maintenance has 37 distribution centers nationwide.
Weyerhaeuser to distribute reclaimed wood
Forest products supplier Weyerhaeuser has entered into an agreement to become the exclusive distributor of Barnwood Industries reclaimed wood in Northern California. Other markets may follow, said the Federal Way, Wash.-based company.
Reclaimed materials include beams timbers, wood flooring, doors, cabinets and millwork from aged barns and other wood structures. In addition to adding a sense of historic charm, reusing building materials can help meeting green building standards and criteria, the company pointed out.
