Ames Capstone Granite receives recognition
Ames Research Laboratories announced that it has received a Pro Tool Innovation Award for the Capstone Granite.
Gathering a diverse team of judges, including contractors, construction business owners, tradesmen, and media professionals, the votes were counted for the most innovative construction and outdoor power equipment industry products in the world. Judging the 10th annual PTIA Awards revealed an array of innovative power and hand tools, tool accessories, fasteners, and other products submitted by many of the top manufacturers in the industry.
Capstone Granite is an interior/exterior, water-based, single-component acrylic coating with a multi-color blend of decorative chips suspended in the product for a “granite-like” appearance. This coating is ideal for horizontal and vertical surfaces such as pool decks, porches, patios, decks, walkways, walls, and more.

Products won based on their ability to demonstrate either innovative features, advanced power delivery, groundbreaking ergonomics, technological advancements, advancements in job site safety, or above-average value. The 2022 Pro Tool Innovation Award winners represent companies and products driving progress and advancement in the construction, landscaping, and manufacturing industries. This year, 99 different manufacturers and brands submitted over 465 products in dozens of categories for a chance to take home a 2022 Pro Tool Innovation Award.
