AGS Stainless partners with Cardinal Building Products
AGS Stainless, Inc., the stainless steel railing systems manufacturer, is partnering with Cardinal Building Products.
Under terms of the partnership, Cardinal will distribute the Cascadia Railing System from AGS in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia.
Cascadia is a stainless steel bar rail system that installs with minimal field modification. The product was designed to give builders a stainless railing product at a price closer to that of an aluminum railing system.
“Research indicates that homeowners are increasingly interested in higher-quality deck and stair railing products,” said Kevin Harris, director of sales and marketing for AGS. “Prior to Cascadia, that often meant hiring a local metal fabricator.”
According to Harris, Cascadia is the only ICC ES-approved stainless steel bar rail system. This allows for immediate acceptance by the vast majority of building departments, eliminating the time-consuming review and approval process.
“We’re excited to be able to bring this product to customers in the Mid-Atlantic region,” said Rick Hess, general manager for Cardinal. “Cascadia is a high-quality product that pairs well with our other product lines. Our customers are going to appreciate this system’s marine-grade stainless steel components and its ease of installation, as well as simply having access to a stainless steel railing product that doesn’t require custom design.”
Based in Leola, Pa., Cardinal Building Products has nearly one million square feet of vinyl, composite and polyethylene decking on site, and also offers vinyl and aluminum railing to complete any residential or commercial deck.
