Acme Tools names new CFO

Grand Forks, N.D.-based Acme Tools hired Scott Foyt as its new chief financial officer, succeeding Steve Hetland as CFO who will retire next spring.

Acme Tools is an omnichannel retailer of tools and equipment with more than 70 years of industry experience, ten retail stores, and a leading authorized online retailer offering more than 1,000 brands and 95,000 products online.

Foyt was most recently senior tax manager for UnitedHealth Group in Minnetonka, Minn., and was previously a manager with KPMG International in Minneapolis. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and attorney.

Foyt will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing, reporting and controlling all financial activities of the company. He will lead the management team of the Finance Division and advise management at all ten retail locations in North Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa.

Foyt earned his Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of North Dakota and is a graduate of the Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Fla.
