At Ace, two more stores earn 'Coolest' designation
Gemmen's Home & Hardware offers 42,000 sq.-ft. of unique and local merchandise. Strand Ace Hardware's 'Party on the Patio' celebrates its connection with its California community.
These two stores are community focused, successful, service oriented and, according to Ace Hardware Corporation, "cool."
Ace recognized the two stores with the company’s tenth annual “Coolest Hardware Store” awards. Ace selects only a handful of Ace stores annually to receive this coveted recognition – all based on how well the store differentiates its offerings, services and culture to meet the needs of the community. All told, 38 Ace stores have been featured in the program.
Gemmen’s Home & Hardware in Hudsonville, Mich.; and Strand Ace Hardware in Escalon, Calif., share common traits yet offer unique product assortments and locally relevant flavor above and beyond most hardware stores.
“With more than 5,400 Ace locations around the world, no two stores are the same,” said John Kittell, Vice President, Retail Operations and New Business, Ace Hardware Corporation. “Each independently owned and operated store provides a shopping experience that is locally relevant to the communities they serve. The teams at Gemmen’s Home & Hardware and Strand Ace Hardware embody the unique and helpful spirit that makes Ace great.”
