84 Lumber names inaugural Team Headquarter Award winners
84 Lumber has introduced its first-ever Team Headquarters Award winners.
The company launched the new awards program as a way to recognize and reward associates at 84 Lumber’s team headquarters in Eighty Four, Pa.
Winners were selected for two different categories: Business Excellence and Rising Star.
The Business Excellence Award was presented to Ryan Oakes, 84 Lumber’s senior manager of transportation and specialty purchasing.
Oakes has been with 84 Lumber for six years and was promoted to his current position in October 2021. From working with trucking logistics to installing and training associates on forklifts, Ryan takes great pride in his role at 84 Lumber. He recently led his department to strategically place additional delivery trucks and forklifts into stores, which allowed several stores to double their business.
The Business Excellence Award recognizes an associate who has demonstrated leadership skills, achievement, growth, and success at 84 Lumber. The prodealer said Oakes has embraced the 84 Lumber culture, engaged in teamwork, and inspires others to follow a similar path.
The Rising Star Award went to Ashley Cyprowski, marketing manager for 84 Lumber.
Cyprowski has been with the company since October 2021 and quickly became a key player on the marketing team. The marketing manager works daily with associates across the country on local store advertising, recruitment, and events.
This year, she implemented new recruitment marketing efforts for the company, which has proven to be extremely beneficial for keeping up with the company’s record year of growth.
The Rising Star Award recognizes an up-and-coming associate at 84 Lumber. This individual is an associate to watch, who has had a significant impact on their team and has a bright future with the company.
“Our main goal at 84 Lumber team headquarters is to provide top-tier service and support to our customers and to our stores,” said 84 Lumber Chief Operating Officer Frank Cicero, while presenting the winners with their awards. “Both Ryan and Ashley work hard on behalf of our stores each and every day, and I hear nothing but positive feedback from store associates about them. Congratulations to Ryan and Ashley! We look forward to celebrating more 84 Lumber associates in the future.”
Associates at 84 Lumber team headquarters were able to nominate fellow associates for each award. Company leadership then selected the final winners from the list of nominations.
84 Lumber is a leading supplier of building materials, manufactured components, and LBM industry-leading services for single- and multi-family residences and commercial buildings.
The company operates more than 250 stores in over 30 states and said that it is currently looking for more hardworking associates to join its team.
