Hunter Adams, owner of Trindco Inc. in Suffolk, Va.; and Scott Lardner, owner of Rocky Mountain Stone in Albuquerque, N.M.

The Artisan Group is a member organization of stone fabricators in North America that serves as a leader in the granite and surface fabrication industry.

Pearl River, N.Y.-based Hunter Douglas, manufacturer and marketer of custom window fashions, announced that it has donated a total of $200,000 to the International Rescue Committee, a global humanitarian organization, to help all those in need following Typhoon Haiyan, which devastated the central Philippines last month.

Weyerhaeuser has named Rhonda Hunter SVP Timberlands, succeeding soon-to-be-retired Tom Gideon.

Effective Jan. 1, 2014, Hunter will be officially promoted from her current role as VP of Weyerhaeuser's Southern Timberlands operation, which she's held since 2010. Previously, she held other leadership roles within the division, which involved planning and inventory, regional management, environmental and work systems, finance and land acquisition. She has been with the company since 1987.

Custom window coverings manufacturer Hunter Douglas has donated $350,000 to two nonprofits working to help those affected by the recent flooding in Colorado: Foothills Flood Relief Fund, a nonprofit run by Foothills United Way, and veteran service organization Team Rubicon.

President and CEO Mary Hopkins presented the donations to United Way president and CEO Mimi Vilord and Team Rubicon co-founder William McNulty at Hunter Douglas' Pearl River headquarters.

Window-treatment maker Hunter Douglas launched a 'Tis the Season for Style event encouraging consumers to make their homes more beautiful -- plus safer for children and pets -- during the fall selling season.

The event provides mail-in rebates on some Hunter Douglas window fashions and, in recognition of October’s Window Covering Safety Month, free upgrades to the LiteRise cordless lifting system on select styles.

Hunter Fan has introduced its Universal Internet Thermostat, which is controlled in-home or remotely with a smartphone app. The energy-saving thermostat, which can also be programmed by a smartphone, retails for $99. According to the Memphis, Tenn., company, the product installs in five minutes.

Portland, Maine-based Hunter Panels announced its new "Hunter Xci" product line for use in exterior commercial wall applications. The launch of the Xci product line boosts Hunter's offerings of insulation products for the commercial building envelope.

"With recent upgrades to the I-Codes calling for continuous insulation, Hunter Polyiso is a perfect fit for commercial wall assemblies," said Alma Garnett, VP of Hunter Panels.

Hunter Douglas will move to Blue Hill Plaza and occupy the top two floors of the 21-story Skidmore, Owings & Merrill complex near the Hudson River.
