Jenn-Air has expanded its offerings in the ventilation department, now available via Jenn-Air dealers across the nation.

The appliance supplier will now be offering a new 36-inch hood liner that can be expanded to 42 or 48 inches. It's compatible with a 600 or 1200 CFM motor and is equipped for up to 105,000 BTUs.

New offerings in perimetric canopy hood models include 36-inch wall and island mount options, which come in a floating glass design. The perimetric filtration capabilities are enhanced with more concentrated suction.

The Home Improvement Research Institute announced the hiring of Pam Heidel as research analyst based in HIRI’s Tampa office. 

Heidel is a former president of the board of the non-profit HIRI. Also, from 2007 to 2014, she was employed by Generac Power Systems, most recently as marketing director – digital and consumer insights. 

Heidel also worked as marketing planning manager for Broan-NuTone from 2000 through 2007.

Huntersville, North Carolina-based impact driver company Irwin has unveiled the second phase of its Impact Performance Series line of accessories. This phase expands the line beyond fastening into extracting, drilling and power bits.

“The second phase of the Impact Performance Series expands our initial offering, which was originally focused on the fastener drive category only,” Irwin’s marketing director, John Schlosser, said. “Irwin’s expansion … provides the right impact accessory for nearly all impact driver applications.”

PGT Industries, a North Venice, Fla.-based supplier of residential impact-resistant windows and doors, has appointed Danielle Mikesell as its newest director of marketing.

In her new role, she will be responsible for the company's marketing strategies related to its window and door brands.

Mikesell has a strong background in marketing and sales within the building and consumer goods industries. In her most recent role, she served as marketing director at Masco Cabinetry, where she oversaw all marketing initiatives.

Southwest Fasteners serves the construction industry, as well as solar and waterworks.

Lynch will oversee and guide the co-op’s retail marketing efforts through its 4,000 member-owned stores worldwide. He will also help drive the company’s member education and training programs.

Jayne Seagrave will take over as  president of the Worldwide DIY Council, effective May 1. Seagrave will take over for past executive secretary Donald Droesch, who is retiring from the Council. 

Seagrave is marketing director of the Vancouver Tool Corp. She holds a Ph.D in Criminology and is an active speaker and author. She has been a member of the council for more than six years and served on the board from 2007 to 2010. She is the first woman to hold the position and also the first Canadian to do so.
