The Hyde Group has promoted Robert Scoble to a new key role as president of Hyde Group. 

Scoble will be responsible for all the Hyde Group companies, which are Hyde Tools and Industrial Blade Solutions, of Southbridge, Massachusetts, and A. Richard Tools of Canada.

Haier America announced Paul Riley has been appointed VP sales and marketing for major appliances.

Riley will be accountable for the creation and exectuion of the go-to-market strategy for all categories, the company announced.

Riley has held many sales and marketing roles throughout his 15-year career with GE Appliances, where he most recently worked as senior brand and product line marketing manager. He also led GE's efforts to redefine the Monogram brand through a preferred builder program, a consumer facing rebate program and brand distribution strategy.

Abbate will replace Craig Evanich in this role, in which he will oversee the development of sales and marketing strategies, as well as maintain responsibility for the company's Logistics and Order Management operations. Evanich retired in June.
