NACCO Materials Handling Group (NMHG), the parent company of Hyster Company and Yale Materials Handling Corporation, announced that its VP of aftermarket, Paul Laroia, has indicated plans to retire. Laroia will stay with the company through the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.

“As a well-respected industry leader and driving force in the success of the company, Mr. Laroia’s career has been marked by a passion for innovation and a dedication to quality service,” the company said.

NACCO Materials Handling Group (NMHG) the parent company of Hyster Company and Yale Materials Handling Corporation added Mike McCormick as VP warehouse solutions and Bill Buckhout as director of leasing and remarketing. McCormick and Buckhout have more than 40 years of combined industry experience.

Briggs Equipment and LiftOne will open their doors as authorized Hyster lift truck dealers in Atlanta and Charlotte, respectively. This follows an announcement earlier this year where Barloworld announced that it had executed letters of interest regarding the sale of its US assets to Briggs and LiftOne pending a due diligence process.

Pittsburgh-based Yale Industrial Trucks acquired MH Equipment's Twinsburg, Ohio, business.

Yale Industrial Trucks operates as Burns Industrial Equipment, which is now the authorized Hyster lift truck dealer for select counties in the Cleveland area.
