Boral TruExterior Siding, part of Roswell, Georgia-based Boral’s category of poly-ash products, received distinction from the Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Program, the company announced.

By including product materials that can be reused in technical or biological cycles, Boral TruExterior Siding became the second exterior siding product in the industry to earn the Cradle to Cradle Certified designation.

As the Central Network Retail Group continues its expansion, Manchester, Georgia-based Taylor-Foster Hardware founder Lee Taylor expressed positive sentiments over his company's acquisition by Central Network Retail Group (CNRG).

Xylem Group, LLC, a kitchen and bath products company, has changed its corporate name to Xync Brands, LLC. 

The company also changed is the former Xylem product brand name—now Ryvyr —and its former Xylem Hospitality division name, which has become Xync Contract. 

The name changes of the Roswell, Georgia based company take effect immediately. 

With a concentration in the kitchen and bath industry, Xync Brands president Hal Weinstein plans to take the new Ryvyr brand name to market with an array of upcoming, exciting new products.

Atlanta, Georgia-based Levolor is adding to its Accordia Custom Cellular Shade product offerings, which hit Lowe's shelves exclusively on Aug. 28 and are due in other nationwide home improvement retail stores Oct. 1.

The Accordia portfolio, which currently spans more than 200 styles, will be expanded further with new color and fabric swatches.

New to the crop are the Heathered and Tree Bark collections, which feature hues such as buttercream, light fog, cherry blossom, marine, amethyst and bayleaf.

Marietta, Georgia-based wholesale building supply company Robert Bowden announced this week that it would begin using Epicor’s BizTrack software.

According to the company’s CFO Greg Lucas, the switch from a proprietary planning system is the result of Robert Bowden’s growth since starting in 1983.

Norcross, Georgia-based Halco Lighting Technologies is recalling about 9,500 of its ProLED bulbs after receiving reports of potential overheating and falling hazards.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, there were five reports of the bulbs separating from the sockets, and the bulbs have a tendency to overheat and fall on consumers below. No injuries have been reported, however.

As of the 2016 lawn & garden season, Briggs & Stratton is trimming down on its production to help cut costs, which will include limiting its Snapper consumer lawn and garden equipment and consolidating its products manufacturing facilities.

The company will also close its McDonough, Georgia location and consolidate production into existing facilities in Wisconsin and New York.
