As the Central Network Retail Group continues its expansion, Manchester, Georgia-based Taylor-Foster Hardware founder Lee Taylor expressed positive sentiments over his company's acquisition by Central Network Retail Group (CNRG).

Natchez, Mississippi-based Central Network Retail Group expanded further into the Southeast, bringing Hiawassee Hardware of Hiawassee, Georgia to its portfolio of stores.

The new addition to CNRG marks the network's fifth store in Georgia, and its 47th in the United States.

Central Network Retail Group and Elliott’s Hardware are pleased to announce that construction has begun on a new store in northeast Dallas at 9540 Casa Linda Plaza, near the corner of Garland Road and Buckner Boulevard. The 14,500-sq.-ft. store will feature a broad assortment of hardware, lawn and garden, grilling and outdoor living, paint, electrical, plumbing, and home organization products. It will also feature Hardware Plus, Elliott’s decorative plumbing and door hardware showroom.

Natchez, Miss.-based Central Network Retail Group acquired Moore’s Hardware in Dahlonega, Ga.

The 11,500-sq.-ft. store at 550 Grove Street N in Dahlonega also has a warehouse and lumberyard. Moore’s features a broad assortment of lumber, building materials, millwork, hardware, paint, electrical, and plumbing products. Lamar Ricketts, Moore’s former owner and manager, has agreed to stay and consult with CNRG.

No matter how you slice them, the numbers of the HCN Top 300 Industry Scoreboard reflect the rising housing market, increased spending on the home and an easy comparison with the previous year's performance.

Of the leading 300 home channel retailers, 277 show positive sales in the most recently completed finished fiscal year, and 12 show declines. Eleven others are listed as flat.

Natchez, Miss.-based Central Network Retail Group (CNRG) added to its growing list of acquisitions with Habersham Hardware and Home Center in Cornelia and Clarkesville, Ga. 

CNRG operates 39 home center and hardware stores in seven Southern states. At Habersham, Brentt Cody, the grandson of the retailer’s founder Paul Reeves, will serve as district manager for CNRG’s newly formed Georgia District. Both Habersham stores sell hardware, plumbing, appliances, tools, paint, lumberand building supplies.

Natchez, Miss.-based Central Network Retail Group, or CNRG, said it acquired Ace Hardware in Wake Forest, N.C., and will rebrand the store as Town & Country Hardware.

The 12,500-sq.-ft. store located at 910 Gateway Commons Circle in Wake Forest will be the eighth store under CNRG’s Town & Country Hardware brand in North Carolina.

Phillip Helms, the stores’ owner, will join CNRG as district manager for the Town & Country stores.

Natchez, Miss.-based Central Network Retail Group (CNRG) acquired Ace Hardware in Monticello, Miss., and announced plans for another new store in Rayville, La.

The Mississippi store, which has been rebranded as a Home Hardware Center, is located at 134 West Broad Street in Monticello.

Central Network Retail Group, a chain of 36 home improvement centers, has opened a new NFL Home Center store in Gautier, Miss., on the site of the former Coast Building Supply.

The store has a 10,000-sq.-ft. sales floor with an assortment of hardware, paint, electrical, plumbing, tools, lawn and garden, and home organization items. Additionally, the store has a full-service lumber and building materials yard.

Natchez, Miss.-based Central Network Retail Group (CNRG) added Chapel Hill, N.C.-based Town & Country Hardware as a new partner.

Town & Country Hardware operates eight hardware stores in the North Carolina cities of Chapel Hill, Raleigh and Cary. Craig Ward, president of Town & Country Hardware, has also been added to the board of directors at CNRG.

Elliott's Hardware has seen some changes over the last six decades. The coming weeks and months will bring several more. 

The Texas-based three-store hardware chain with locations in Plano, Dallas and Mesquite is under new ownership in the form of the Central Network Retail Group (CNRG). In addition to a shift from Do it Best to Orgill as a primary distributor, the move will bring Andrea Spencer -- granddaughter of Elliot's founder Jerre Elliott -- to head the business.

Doug Gregory, president of Morrison Terrebonne Lumber Center, has also been added to the board of directors at CNRG.

Natchez, Miss.-based Central Network Retail Group has purchased a 38,000-sq.-ft. Cole's Home Solutions store and drive-through lumberyard in Ripley. 

CNRG is a recently organized management and operations group led by Boyden Moore, the former CEO of Marvin's Home Centers, and Jimmy Smith, the current president of Home Hardware Centers.

Home Hardware Center is preparing to expand its 18-store footprint in Mississippi and Louisiana, according to the company's owners, who say they are looking to bring acquisition expertise to a new venture called Central Network Retail Group (CNRG).
