Specialty retailer Linens ‘n Things has begun disposing of 371 retail locations throughout the United States, according to DJM Realty, the company marketing the properties. The home furnishings retailer, which failed to reorganize under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, also operated three distribution centers that are now available.
The store leases are scattered among 47 states, but many are concentrated along the I-95 corridor between Long Island, N.Y., and Boston; the western coast of Florida and the Florida Panhandle; Northern and Southern California; and several Chicago markets.
The three distribution centers are located in New Jersey, North Carolina and Kentucky. The Greensboro, N.C., warehouse, a 228,000-square-foot facility on 24 acres, is for sale.
Linens ‘n Things operated 551 stores in the United States before filing Chapter 11 on May 2.
