Monkey attacks Home Depot employee

6/12/2018
A pet spider monkey entered a Home Depot store in Okeechobee, Fla., and ran wild.

But not before biting and scratching a Home Depot employee, Marilyn Howard, multiple times. Howard was on her break and tried to prevent the monkey from entering the store.

According to reports, the diaper-wearing monkey was left in a truck outside the store while its owner shopped at the Home Depot.

But somehow the monkey escaped the vehicle and began a frantic search inside the location — going so far as to climb to the rafters of the store’s aisle No. 5.

According to employees, this was not the monkey’s first visit to the store and its owner had been told to keep the animal at home.

More about the incident and a video of the wild monkey can be found at WPBF News.
